Generic advice like this does not work for athletes. In fact, it CAN BE a disservice.

I was an experienced athlete and well educated coach, yet it wasn’t until I was postpartum with my first son that I realized the significant gap in practical training insight for athletes and coaches like me. This led to pivoting my coaching career to specialize in coaching pregnant and postpartum athletes.

We go beyond the generalizations, shortsighted advice, outdated info and extreme examples and provide practical + strategic ways to navigate the psychological, physiological and performance changes during pregnancy and postpartum.

FROM A small local coaching business to becoming the go-to coach and resource for pregnant + Postpartum Athletes.

I've had the opportunity to coach athletes in a variety of sports + performance goals. From olympians, UFC Fighters, endurance athletes etc. to everyday athlete moms.

The P&PA brand offers a variety of educational resources, the Practice Brave Podcast, The Pregnant Athlete Training Program, The Postpartum Athlete Training Program as well as The Practice Brave Fitness Program, a monthly strength and conditioning program for athlete moms.

In 2017 I created my signature certification course for coaches + practitioners, Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism. We have thousand of coaches in 62 countries around the world that are serving their local and online communities with evidence based and practical training strategies for pregnancy and postpartum athletes.

Pregnancy and postpartum serve as catalyst seasons for women pursuing a lifetime of athleticism.

We strive to provide the most up to date information based on the scientific evidence, our coaching experience, and the input of our P&PA Advisory panel composed of coaches and practitioners.

Brianna Battles

Founder of Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism and CEO of Everyday Battles, LLC.

Brianna has her Master’s Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration and her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. She is an active member of the NSCA where she is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) since 2008. She has completed multiple continuing education courses and mentorships in the women’s health and strength and conditioning realm.
