An Online Course For Coaches, Trainers, Practitioners & Sports Industry Experts
Join the team of 400+ coaches around the world who are impacting thousands of women online and in their community with quality guidance on training through pregnancy and pursuing their athleticism into motherhood. This is NOT a special population- the majority of women who enjoy exercise will become pregnant at some point and need a coach who knows how to guide them through that chapter and as they continue their athletic endeavors.
There’s no doubt about it - we’re seeing more women than ever before who want to train through their pregnancy and pursue higher levels of athleticism into motherhood.
This growing phenomenon is on the rise and the lack of coaches trained to support these athletes has created the perfect opportunity for you to step in and build your business in the process.
Are you the type of coach or trainer who wants to go above and beyond the status quo to help pregnant and postpartum athletes understand how their training and mindset should adapt to her body’s new demands?
Do you …
- Want to be an advocate for women by helping pregnant and postpartum athletes continue to be athletes as their bodies change and their needs continue to shift?
- Have athletes that fear heavy squats, jumping, and/or running because with every bounce or max effort they pee due to unaddressed pelvic floor dysfunction? You can be their first line of defense as a coach who can confidently refer and guide their training so it supports (not hinders) their long term function and performance.
- Want to be the expert and fill a gap in the market by positioning yourself to help a subset of women that have little to no guidance when it comes to best and most sustainable practices for long term athleticism?
- Have a pregnant or newly postpartum client who’s totally freaking out about Diastasis Recti? If you’re armed with the right FACTS you can ease her fears and help apply strategies that will assist her in preservation or improving her core.
- Want to be a smart business owner by adding a specialty service to your gym, facility, or practice and recognize that the pregnant/postpartum athlete represents an underserved market that will invest in your expertise?
- Want to become the coach YOU needed? Sometimes, personal experience leads to a professional calling.
- Have women who come to your gym or participate in your classes? Chances are, they know other women who are (or will be) pregnant/postpartum athletes who’d be thrilled to get specialist support. When this neglected set of athletes finds out you can help them train safely because you know how to apply a top down approach that can help women of all abilities and needs… your business will grow.
What if you could be part of a select group of specialized coaches and trainers who pregnant and postpartum athletes turn to for help?
From the CrossFit athlete, to the triathlete, to the recreational boot camp attendee who wants to feel confident in her fitness choice and approach as her body changes during pregnancy and through the postpartum phase, she needs the support of a qualified coach.
What if you could connect to a growing, specific demographic within the fitness industry and expand your coaching business?
Some of the extreme messaging and modeling around pregnant and postpartum exercise can come from untrustworthy resources or unqualified sources. Social media education is not enough! Women need a coach who understands their specific needs and goals and can help them be safe and deliberate in their training.
And what if you could become a leader and in your industry by specializing in a niche of athletes that’s been totally overlooked?
By embracing well-rounded and trustworthy training methodologies that spark a “top down” effect, the benefits of your new skill set will transfer to ALL of your clients.
It all starts with knowing exactly how to train, guide, and safely support the pregnant and postpartum athlete who’s not ready to trade in her kettlebells, deadlifts, and burpees for gentle yoga and walking.
The truth is, a pregnant or postpartum athlete’s body has different needs as it cycles through its changes and telling her to “just listen to your body” isn’t enough.
She needs way more than that from you. However, she doesn't need strict rules either, so how can you meet her where she is? She needs you to set her up for success - not set her back in her training, long term function, and performance with over generalizations or misguidance.

Here’s what you’ll learn in the online course:
Module 1: Introduction & Intention
To start things off, you’ll hear my story and begin to fully understand the sentiment and intention behind this whole movement. It’s important to know why it’s so important for female athletes in all stages of life to have access to safe and proven training methodology.
Module 2: Athlete Mindset & Fitness Culture
To be a part of the solution, we have to understand the problem. Here you'll learn about "athlete brain" and the ever-shifting culture of the fitness industry that has dictated outdated guidance and skewed approach. You'll begin to understand how to speak to this mindset so you can connect and build trust with the women you’ll be helping, in addition to your industry peers.
Module 3: Scientific Foundations
In order to fully grasp the importance of and skill set involved with working with pregnant and postpartum athletes, we have to first learn the the fundamentals of physiology and how the pelvic floor is critical for function and performance. You'll understand how to apply these principles to all the content moving forward in this course and in your coaching practice.
Module 4: Injuries, Symptoms, & Assessments
To better understand the full scope of pregnancy and postpartum athleticism, we have to know the potential dysfunctions and what we‘re looking for in the first place! You’ll learn about core and pelvic health considerations (diastasis recti, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, etc) and you’ll understand how to address these different injuries, assess athletic readiness and progression.
Module 5: Coaching Considerations
Understanding the basic principles of fitness while applying the fundamentals of program design is a prerequisite to knowing how to structure coaching for the athletes we work with during pregnancy and postpartum. Here you’ll learn the basics of program design and all encompassing coaching considerations. Our goal here is to get you feeling confident in applying these principles to your coaching and to know how to apply appropriate progressive overload and deload practices for your athletes.
Module 6: Pregnancy Athleticism
It’s important to acknowledge that pregnancy is a temporary chapter that yields many considerations from structural to physiological - not just movement modifications and choices. Here you’ll discover how to coach a pregnant athlete beyond modifications (or telling her to "listen to her body") by learning how to cue adjusted core and pelvic health strategy, positioning, periodization and training applications.
Module 7: Postpartum Athleticism
Coaches are often the first to see a new mom in a fitness setting and we have to act as the first line of defense, a quality guiding voice, and a resource for recovering and reintegrating. Understanding the implications of pregnancy, delivery, and recovery is a fundamental skill set and can help guide how we coach during this postpartum chapter. You’ll learn what symptoms to address for her fitness, how to refer, and how to approach her training as well as knowing how to progress, regress, adapt, and lead her toward improved function and performance.
Module 8: Motherhood Considerations
There are so many components of motherhood that impact fitness, health, and overall well being. As coaches, we must recognize that our influence and education can extend beyond providing workouts and exercises. In this module, you’ll learn to address a mother holistically and understand how to guide conversations around weight loss/gain, mental health, social media, hormones, and body image within your given scope of practice.
Module 9: Taking Action
The demand for quality coaches, educators, and community resources for pregnant and postpartum women is on the rise. They need more trustworthy sources to help them navigate a chapter of training that is often filled with misguidance or none at all! Here you’ll find out how to take action in your community with presence and passion while learning the keys to implementation and connection.
Module 10: Business Dynamics
Being intentional about developing a specific coaching philosophy yields a culture you can uphold within your fitness environment and reach. A coaching philosophy should have main values, but can change and adapt to new experiences and education, as it should! In the final module you’ll learn business fundamentals and get the details you need on starting, building, and sustaining your coaching efforts.

"I have taken other pregnancy and postpartum courses, but I quickly learned that I wasn't fully prepared to coach this population. Brianna's course changed that for me. Her evidence based information filled in a lot of missing pieces and helped me gain confidence in my coaching abilities. I have been able to reach so many women, collaborate with other amazing professionals, and have a few big projects in the works with organizations specifically because of the level of knowledge that I gained in this course. I'm so glad I found Bri and this supportive community."

There’s a time and place for listening to your own body, but pregnant and postpartum athletes often don’t know what to listen for during this unique chapter of their lives. Misguidance can lead to unintentional injury and/or performance impairments postpartum - as a coach, you can help prevent this.
We don’t expect other athletes to know proper form or technique when they’re just starting out - working with this subset of athletes shouldn’t be any different. Their needs analysis has significantly changed but their desire to keep training has not - they need a coach who understands that and can help them through it.
And maybe you’ve already taken other courses in this realm that speak to WHY pregnant and postpartum athletes should do things differently, but left you with little to no strategy on HOW to apply the new knowledge in your practice...
Here, you’ll get a well-rounded education on both.
If you want a successful practice that helps women thrive through all chapters of their athleticism, it’s time to get serious about becoming a trustworthy coach who knows how to help them.
As someone who’s been in the strength, conditioning industry for over 10 years, I know the importance of offering each and every client quality guidance that’s safe and fully grounded in evidence-based theory.
And as someone who specializes in coaching pregnant and postpartum athletes and coaches around the world, I want to help you connect and change the messaging and guidance, while growing your business and income.
"PPA has changed the course of my life. It has changed the vision I have for my business and it is actually what pushed me to open my own business. I am so passionate about this and it is the change that is needed for women from everyday health into fitness.
The lack of knowledge around a woman's body during pregnancy and postpartum was truly shocking to me when I found myself pregnant in 2017. So the search began to find what was suitable for me to continue working out safety. As a crossfit coach myself I knew that the women in my gym were watching me and wanting to see what I did during my pregnancy. Like any coach, we want to deliver the safest and best information to our clients and I was defeated by the fact that there was much at all. Enter Brianna Battles. I was so excited to find her course and her information, it was and is exactly what is needed. So from there I wanted to share my personal experience and what I have learned as a PPA coach with women in my community and really anyone who is listening!"
- Breanna Naccarato, P&PA Coach

A MESSAGE FROM THE INSTRUCTOR
Hi, I’m Brianna Battles, founder of Everyday Battles Strength and Conditioning and creator of the Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism course.
Not only do I coach fitness industry professionals interested in helping pregnant and postpartum athletes, but I work with an array of individuals from newbie beginners to some of the country’s most elite female athletes.
I specialize in coaching the pregnant and postpartum athlete so she can continue doing what she loves while making informed decisions about training under the care and guidance of an specialized coach who knows how to minimize risk and maximize the overall experience.
My passion for working with these women came from a humbling and challenging reality check after the birth of my first son…
I thought I knew everything about pregnancy and postpartum athleticism because of my education and experience but, in hindsight, that was just my ego speaking and I ended up learning the hard way.
As a pregnant athlete who wanted to keep training for as long as I could, there was little to no information out there to guide me, and much of what already existed was outdated and totally inaccurate. So I subscribed to the “extreme” messaging and examples I saw of a fit pregnancy and quick return to the gym postpartum
As an athlete and experienced coach, I felt like a lot of the information out there didn’t apply to me because of my background. I felt exempt from the recommended modifications. I wish I had known better because my lack of knowledge of what actually mattered for my health and fitness backfired.
Not only did I continue to train without adjusting my training strategies during pregnancy, but my approach to resuming training postpartum contributed to a significant Diastasis Recti.
When I realized A) how misguided I had been and B) just how little support there is for female athletes who want to continue training through pregnancy and into the postpartum phase, I made it my mission to be the change I wanted to see as both an athlete and coach.
I learned everything I could about prenatal and postpartum health.
I used my background in Kinesiology and my experience as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (NSCA-CSCS) to guide my coaching methodologies.
I became the coach I needed and applied everything I already knew and everything I learned from my own experience (and mistakes) as a coach and athlete who has navigated my own pregnancy and postpartum athleticism twice!
I knew I had the ability to lead a movement, as my Masters Degree in Coaching thesis was on creating an intentional culture. I believed that if I could connect and empower the influencers (coaches), that it would impact so many more athletes than I could ever reach on my own. I got to work and released this course in May 2017 and now there are hundreds of coaches all over the world collaborating together and building their expertise and business.
This coaching approach has resonated with thousands of women of varying fitness levels and helped them to train safely, confidently, and with an adjusted mindset that sets them up for continued success.
And because I want this information to be wide-spread and 100% accessible to coaches, fitness professionals, and female athletes around the world, I’ve turned my coaching approach into a comprehensive online course so you can join the movement and help women be powerful in all areas of life.
