Brianna has online courses and resources for both fitness professionals and athletes and is the founder of the movement and online education, Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism. She has built an international team of coaches who are equipped to work with pregnant and postpartum athletes.
Brianna is an advocate for women who want training during pregnancy and make a sustainable return to performance, lifestyle, function, career and activity in the postpartum chapter. She has been able to accomplish this not just with her own coaching efforts, but by also educating coaches to do the same in their communities and online.
Brianna has a local strength and conditioning program, but has shifted her focus to online education and traveling for seminars in an effort to reach a broader audience.
She has experience coaching a variety of athletes (and their coaches), ranging from professional and collegiate athletes, to the recreational exerciser. Brianna has her Master’s Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration and her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. She is an active member of the NSCA where she is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and a USAW Sports Performance Coach. She has completed multiple continuing education courses and mentorships in the women’s health and strength and conditioning realm.
She lives in Southern California with her husband, 2 sons (Cade and Chance) and 2 boxers.

CHAPTER 1: Introduction & Intention
To start things off, you’ll hear my story and begin to fully understand the sentiment and intention behind this whole movement. It’s important to know why it’s so important for female athletes in all stages of life to have access to safe and proven training methodology.
CHAPTER 2: Athlete Mindset & Fitness Culture
To be a part of the solution, we have to understand the problem. Here you'll learn about "athlete brain" and ever-shifting culture of the fitness industry that has dictated outdated guidance and skewed approach. CHAPTER 3: Scientific Foundations
In order to fully grasp the importance of and skill set involved with working with pregnant and postpartum athletes, we have to first learn the the fundamentals of physiology and how the pelvic floor is critical for function and performance. You'll understand how to apply these principles to all the content moving forward in this course and application.
CHAPTER 4: Injuries, Symptoms, & Assessments
In order to better understand the full scope of pregnancy and postpartum athleticism, we have to know the potential dysfunctions and what we‘re looking for in the first place! You’ll learn about core and pelvic health considerations (Diastasis Recti, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, etc)
and you’ll understand how to address these different injuries, assess athletic readiness and progression.
CHAPTER 5: Coaching Considerations
Understanding the basic principles of fitness while applying the fundamentals of program design is a prerequisite to knowing how to structure coaching for the athletes we work with during pregnancy and postpartum. Here you’ll learn the basics of program design and all encompassing coaching considerations. Our goal here is to get you feeling confident in applying these principles to your coaching and to know how to apply appropriate progressive overload and deload practices for your athletes.
CHAPTER 6: Pregnancy Athleticism
It’s important to acknowledge that pregnancy is a temporary chapter that yields many considerations from structural and physiological considerations - not just movement modifications and choices. Here you’ll discover how to coach a pregnant athlete beyond modifications (or telling her to "listen to her body") by learning how to cue adjusted core and pelvic health strategy, positioning, periodization and training applications.
CHAPTER 7: Postpartum Athleticism
Coaches are often the first to see a new mom in a fitness setting and we have to act as the first line of defense, a quality guiding voice, and a resource for recovering and reintegrating. Understanding the implications of pregnancy, delivery, and recovery is a fundamental skill set and can help guide how we coach during this postpartum chapter.You’ll learn what symptoms to address for her fitness, how to refer, and how to approach her training as well as knowing how to progress, regress, adapt, and lead her toward improved function and performance.
CHAPTER 8: Motherhood Considerations
There are so many components of motherhood that impact fitness, health, and overall well being. As coaches, we must recognize that our influence and education can extend beyond providing workouts and exercises. In this chapter, you’ll learn to address a mother holistically and understand how to guide conversations around weight loss/gain, mental health, social media, hormones, and body image within your given scope of practice.
CHAPTER 9: Taking Action
The demand for quality coaches, educators, and community resources for pregnant and postpartum women is on the rise. They need more trustworthy sources to help them navigate a chapter of training that is often filled with misguidance or none at all! Here you’ll find out how to take action in your community with presence and passion while learning the keys to implementation and connection.
CHAPTER 10: Business Dynamics
Being intentional about developing a specific coaching philosophy yields a culture you can uphold within your fitness environment and reach. A coaching philosophy should have main values, but can change and adapt to new experiences and education, as it should! In the final chapter you’ll learn business fundamentals and get the details you need on starting, building, and sustaining your coaching efforts.
